Large Round Poles - Our production capability is unique in the steel transmission pole industry, as evidenced by our capability to manufacture large round poles. This process is also used by our affiliate, Trinity Structural Towers, Inc., to fabricate some of the largest wind towers built in the United States. This process allows us to roll pole sections with thicker steel plate than standard press brakes can bend while maintaining tighter diameters to cut costs for foundation and erection. This also allows us to fabricate longer sections for taller structures, reducing the number of sections. Such reduction allows for fewer trucks and less steel used in overlap between sections. These poles can be configured and fabricated for larger kV projects, extreme loading conditions, long span requirements for river and highway crossings, and projects that have base diameter restrictions.
Multi-sided Poles – Trinity Utility Structures, LLC also fabricates standard polygonal shaped steel poles in three plants in North America. Our Quality Assurance personnel are involved in every aspect of your project from materials receipt through post galvanizing Ultra Sonic Testing for toe cracking and repair. Our multiple fabricating facilities and multiple press brakes allow provide the flexibility to manufacture both large and small projects.
